4. Top Week 12 fantasy football pickups – New Orleans Saints TE Adam Trautman

Finding a starting-quality tight end in fantasy football isn’t easy. Having to fill in for your regular starter, as is the case for anyone who has Travis Kelce on their roster in Week 12, seems almost impossible.

One player who can help out both of those fantasy owners is Adam Trautman, who has gained more importance in the New Orleans passing attack by the week. Trautman was targeted eight times in the Saints’ 40-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, catching five of them for 58 yards and a touchdown.

Week 11 marked the fourth consecutive game that Trautman has registered at least six targets, numbers that make him a player who needs to be rostered. Trautman’s physical frame also makes him an imposing red zone target, which should also lead to more touchdowns down the stretch.

Rostered in just seven percent of Yahoo leagues, Trautman is a strong plug-and-play option for all Kelce owners given his Week 12 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Owners in need of help at the tight end position should also throw a claim in on Trautman, who has the potential to be a low-end TE1 for the remainder of the season.
