3. David Montgomery, Chicago Bears (vs. DET)

If you want to play a good matchup every week, circle the running back playing against the Detroit Lions, who are the 31st-ranked rush defense and allow the second-most fantasy points to running backs. For David Montgomery, this is about as good of a get-right matchup as you can get.

Montgomery has been a disappointment for fantasy owners since coming back from his knee injury, totaling 121 yards on 17 carries. Though he has completely dominated the backfield work in Chicago, he hasn’t produced much on the fantasy front.

This should be a solid bounce-back game for Montgomery on a Thanksgiving Day matchup where the Bears will dominate the Tim Boyle-led Lions. Montgomery should remain in starting lineups even after a bad couple weeks. He checks in as a safe-floor RB2 this week.
