4. RB Myles Gaskin runs for 100-plus yards

The Dolphins have had their issues this season trying to establish a reliable ground attack. The club is rushing for an average of 77.4 yards per game – next-to-last in the NFL.

The team’s best option at running back remains Myles Gaskin, who has amassed nearly half (123) of the team’s 247 running plays this season.

But it’s worth noting that the team bolstered their backfield this week with the addition of veteran Phillip Lindsay. The former Denver Broncos’ standout totaled 50 carries for 130 yards and one touchdown for the Houston Texans this year but is now a member of Brian Flores’ squad.

Gaskin is arguably Miami’s most reliable offensive player. He’s run for 433 yards and one score. But he also ranks third on the club with 41 catches. Those have added up to only 209 yards (5.1 average) but he leads the ‘Fins with four touchdown receptions.

A week ago at Charlotte, the Washington Football Team rolled up 190 yards rushing in a 27-21 win over the Panthers. Matt Rhule’s defense ranks 19th in the NFL vs. the run, giving up 108.6 yards per contest. It could be a busy afternoon for Gaskin and perhaps Lindsay as well against Carolina’s suspect defense.
