Bold Prediction No. 2: Russell Wilson finally has his “get right” game

Russell Wilson has been pretty terrible since he returned from his finger injury. He’s thrown for under 210 yards in back-to-back games despite losing efforts both times. He has zero touchdowns since his return and he has two interceptions. He wasn’t a complete disaster last week like he was in his first week back, so that’s progress we suppose.

This week, Wilson and the Seahawks are trying to save their season against the Washington Football Team. The WFT is looking to actually make a serious case that they can be a playoff team with Taylor Heinicke under center after two-straight wins. However, it’s no secret how bad the Washington secondary has been all season. Even Cam Newton in his return as the Panthers starter was able to throw for two touchdowns last week.

Washington’s secondary has improved, but Wilson is getting healthier, and without Chase Young, they can’t exactly bring the pressure that other teams can on the Seahawks. Wilson has been sacked too much, and that’s partially his own fault, but this week he should have time to let routes develop.

Wilson should be getting his first multiple touchdown game since Week 4 this week. That also means a better week for Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.
