2. NFL teams on upset alert in Week 12 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

All of the potential panic surrounding the Buccaneers subsided in Week 11 with their convincing 30-10 win over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Tom Brady looked sharp, throwing for over 300 yards with a pair of touchdowns, while the Tampa Bay defense harassed the Giants into three critical turnovers.

The win was an important one for the Buccaneers, who had lost two in a row after disappointing performances against the New Orleans Saints and Washington Football Team. The game was tight for a half before Brady took over to prevent his first three-game losing streak since 2002.

This week sees Tampa Bay hit the road as three-point favorites against the Indianapolis Colts, who are coming off a beatdown of the Bills in Buffalo on Sunday. Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor is also making a case for MVP honors thanks to his recent string of excellent performances, including a five-touchdown effort against Buffalo.

The fact that the Buccaneers are hitting the road on a short week with Thanksgiving thrown into the mix could easily lead to some off-field distractions. Indianapolis is red-hot, having won five of their past six games, so if Tampa Bay is off its game at all they could get picked off at Lucas Oil Stadium.
