1. NFL teams on upset alert in Week 12 – San Francisco 49ers

Another team that is starting to get going at the right time is the San Francisco 49ers, who have started to play better now that they are getting healthy. The 49ers did a nice job avoiding a letdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, winning 30-10 to improve to 5-5 on the year.

The victory was the third in four games for San Francisco, which has now climbed into eighth place in the NFC, trailing the Saints for the last playoff spot on the strength of victory tiebreaker. Week 12 presents a tremendous opportunity for the 49ers to make a playoff statement at home in a critical contest against the Minnesota Vikings.

FanDuel has set the 49ers as three-point favorites at home against Minnesota, which has been a very up-and-down team all season long. The Vikings are peaking now, however, after an upset win over Green Bay in Week 11 thanks to a strong performance from quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Star running back Dalvin Cook could also create issues for San Francisco’s run defense, which is far from a strength at this point of the season. There three-point spread also indicates that the oddsmakers suspect this would be an even contest on a neutral field, meaning that the Vikings are more than capable of upsetting the 49ers if they execute their gameplay successfully.
