2. Ty Johnson – New York Jets

Ty Johnson is taking over the starting role with Michael Carter out this week. This is going to be a huge game with the Jets looking to ease Zach Wilson back into the lineup. The Jets are losing their two backup quarterbacks in Mike White and Joe Flacco to the COVID protocols, so they will need to keep Wilson healthy. Johnson is going to get a ton of carries against the Houston Texans.

The Texans have allowed the second-most rushing yards to the position this season. Runners have put up 1,173 yards in 10 games. They’ve also allowed nine touchdowns. The Jets are committed to the running game this week, and the Jets are taking on a team that has as many weaknesses as them. Johnson will have holes to run through, and he will take advantage of it.

1. Cordarrelle Patterson – Atlanta Falcons

Cordarrelle Patterson was out of last week’s game against the New England Patriots, and the Falcons offense was pathetic, to say the least. Missing Patterson and Calvin Ridley was too much, and the Falcons running game was a big nothing burger with only Mike Davis carrying the load. This week, Patterson is back, and he’s ready to make an impact against the Jaguars.

Jacksonville actually isn’t that bad against running backs, but that’s because teams have such an easy time throwing the ball on the Jags. The Falcons never have an easy time throwing the ball, but Patterson will be a welcomed weapon in this matchup. Between Patterson and Kyle Pitts, the Falcons should actually put together some big plays.
