Can Matt Moore bring Chiefs magic to Pittsburgh?

Moore hasn’t taken an official NFL snap since 2019, but that’s not without a lack of interest. The 37-year-old still wants to play, and the last time he did so was in a reserve role for the Kansas City Chiefs. Not to mention, Moore did so in excellent nature, filling in for Patrick Mahomes and leading the Chiefs admirably.

The then-35 year old threw for four touchdowns and no interceptions, along with a 64.8 percent completion percentage. Simply put, if the Steelers could guarantee they’d receive that version of Moore, odds are Kevin Colbert would run to the telephone as we speak.

Moore brings with him plenty of risk. His lack of consistent playing time the last few years is scary, to say the least. But at this point in the season, the Steelers have to be willing to take chances — especially if they continue to lose games in convincing fashion, as they did against the Bengals on Sunday.
