Braves should sign Seiya Suzuki

Japanese star Seiya Suzuki is joining Major League Baseball, coming from Japan to play in America (and Canada) with the best in the world. In nine years playing professionally in Japan, Suzuki had a .309 batting average with 189 home runs offensively, and played multiple positions competitively on defense. Two things the Braves could use are another solid but disciplined bat and defensive versatility, things Suzuki clearly brings to the table.

Reported suitors to land the Japanese star are the Cubs, Mariners, Mets, and Padres, but no one has landed the right-handed bat just yet. It would be optimal for the Braves to enter the conversation and lock Suzuki into a long-term deal while the winning window is wide open for Atlanta.
