NFL power rankings, Week 13: Patriots roll, Steelers stifled

It continues to go in the opposite direction for Sean Payton’s team as the Saints were rolled at home by the Bills on Thanksgiving evening. Now losers of four consecutive games, the team was outgained a combined 361-190 in total yards and managed a season-low six points.

New Orleans trailed 10-0 midway through the second quarter and were frustrating Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen – picking him off twice. But the Saints only had the ball for 25:22.

The team made their way south to Miami as these franchises clashed for only the seventh time. And it was a very rough afternoon for the Carolina offense, which was limited to 198 total yards while quarterbacks Cam Newton (1) and P.J. Walker (4) a combined five times.

The former managed to hit on only five of his 21 pass attempts and was picked off twice before giving way to Walker. The Panthers are 2-7 after winning their first three games this year.

Brian Flores’ team continued to inch closer to the .500 mark and hosted the Panthers. And the Miami defense made life difficult for Cam Newton, backup P.J. Walker and the Carolina offense in general.

There were a total of five sacks and three interceptions while the Dolphins’ defense limited Matt Rhule’s club to 198 total yards. Flores’ club scored a season-high 33 points and Tua Tagovailoa threw for 230 yards and one score in the lopsided win.
