NFL power rankings, Week 13: Patriots roll, Steelers stifled
It was the first meeting of the season between the Ravens and rival Browns. A year ago, Baltimore took a pair from Kevin Stefanski’s team. And John Harbaugh’s club made it four straight wins in this rivalry courtesy of an ugly home victory on Sunday night.
Baltimore’s defense limited Cleveland’s top-ranked running game to 40 yards. And despite throwing four interceptions, Lamar Jackson (68 yards) led a ground attack that rolled up 148 yards on 43 attempts.
It’s been a rollercoaster month for Sean McDermott’s squad. And even though the Bills bounced back from a 26-point home loss to the Colts with a 25-point victory at New Orleans on Thanksgiving night, it was another shaky performance by talented quarterback Josh Allen.
He threw for 260 yards and four scores. But after Buffalo built an early 10-0 lead, he was picked off twice in the second quarter. Fortunately, the Saints generated only 190 yards.
The reigning Super Bowl champions were coming off a Monday night home win over the Giants and on a short week headed north to Indianapolis. The Colts came out firing and opened up a 17-7 lead. Bruce Arians’ club trailed 24-14 at halftime but Shaq Barrett and the defense rose up.
Tampa Bay outscored its hosts, 24-7, in the second half. Leonard Fournette ran for 100 yards and scored four total TDs. And the Bucs came up with five takeaways.
