8. Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne

Manning and Wayne are a little bit lower on the list in large part because Manning had another top target in Marvin Harrison (who we will get to). Regardless of that, Wayne and Manning were extremely dynamic together in a Colts offense that dominated the league for a decade.

In Manning’s historic 2004 season in which he threw 48 touchdown passes, Wayne was on the receiving end of 12 of them. He had over 1,200 yards receiving on 77 catches that season. In 2006, the year the Colts won the Super Bowl, Wayne led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,510, along with 10 touchdowns.

While Manning and Harrison are the duo that gets a little more hype, Harrison wouldn’t have been as successful as he was if Wayne wasn’t on the other side of him. Manning was lucky to have both guys to distribute the ball to, and they all made each other better.

Manning and Wayne hooked up for 76 total touchdowns in the regular season and playoffs, and helped deliver a Super Bowl to Indianapolis. Manning was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021, and Wayne is likely to join him sooner than later.
