26. Rich Gannon and Tim Brown

Rich Gannon and Tim Brown were both in the twilights of their careers when they breathed new life into the Oakland Raiders.

Gannon signed with Oakland in 1999. He threw for over 3,800 yards and 24 touchdowns that season with Brown catching 90 passes and being named a Pro Bowler. The Raiders went 8-8, but better years were ahead.

In 2000, Gannon was a First-Team All-Pro selection. He threw for 3,430 yards and 28 touchdowns, leading the Raiders to a 1204 record. Brown had 76 receptions for over 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns. They continued their success in 2001 as the Raiders went 10-6. Gannon had another stellar year with 27 touchdowns and over 3,800 yards with Brown catching 91 passes and being named to another Pro Bowl.

In ’02, Gannon filled up the stat sheet. He led the NFL with 4,689 passing yards and threw 26 touchdowns. Brown had 81 receptions that year and the Raiders won the AFC Championship Game. Both players were in their late 30s when they came together, but they helped the Raiders become a powerhouse in the AFC. Brown was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. Gannon won’t be a Hall of Famer, but he helped Brown find the fountain of youth.
