Top 25 NFL wide receivers of the 21st century
20. Davante Adams
A lot of you might say that Adams deserves a higher spot on the list, and that’s a fair argument to make. In a few years when we look back on this, Adams will all but certainly be higher. While he is remarkable, there are other names who were dominant for much longer than he has been to this point.
Regardless of that, Adams is one of the best receivers in the NFL today. He has made the pro Bowl every year since 2017 (and will undoubtedly make it five seasons in a row once 2021 is over). His breakout season came in 2018, hauling in 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns.
The star receiver, and favorite target of Aaron Rodgers, had his best year in 2020. He caught 115 passes for almost 1,400 yards and led the NFL with 18 touchdown receptions.
Adams is currently on pace to top his reception total from last season, as he sits with 80 receptions at the time of writing this list. He is one of the best route runners in the NFL, which is saying something with all of the talent at the position around the league. Time will tell what comes next from Adams in Green Bay, but he is operating at a historic pace.
