3. Trevon Diggs will get another pick

Diggs and his teammates in the Dallas secondary will be anxious to get back on the field after their lackluster display against the Raiders. The Saint passing game will present them with a much different challenge, but it’s a matchup that could work in Diggs’ favor.

He’s a cornerback who has a great short-range burst that allows him to make quick breaks on short and intermediate throws. That’s just how the Saints’ offense wants to operate as long as they can stay on schedule.

The bold prediction here is that Diggs is going to step in front of one of those quick hitches or outs to get his hands on another interception. His elite ball skills are obvious to everyone who watches him play.

The Saints would be wise to scheme their passing attack away from Diggs, but that’s not Payton’s style. His aggression is going to cost him at least one interception by challenging Dallas’ No. 1 corner on the wrong route at the wrong time.
