1. Tony Pollard will rush for 125+ yards

The Cowboys may not have asked Ezekiel Elliott to sit out Thursday’s game yet, but there’s no cogent argument to give him more work than Pollard at this stage of the season. The former Memphis star continues to outperform his highly-compensated teammate every week for the Dallas offense.

The Saints will load up to stop the run in this one, but Pollard has the slashing running style required to succeed against seven or eight-man fronts. His slight frame makes giving him a ton of carries a risky strategy on a weekly basis, but he should be in line for a big workload against New Orleans on Thursday.

That’s why this week’s No. 1 bold prediction is that Pollard is going to torch the Saints for at least 125 yards on the ground. That outcome would delight Mike McCarthy and his offensive coaching staff. Taking pressure off Prescott and the passing game could do wonders to unlock Dallas’ offensive playbook.

The biggest risk in this prediction is that Pollard will do too much work in the passing game to receive the number of carries require to exceed 125 yards on the ground. That’s a reasonable concern, but Pollard is a big play back who is going to pop a long run this week. He’s a great play for daily fantasy and the Cowboys’ chances of winning in Week 13.
