The Golden State Warriors exacted a bit of revenge with a win over the Suns after a loss to Phoenix earlier in the week but NBA Twitter wants more.

On Tuesday night, the Phoenix Suns hosted the Golden State Warriors as they put an impressive winning streak on the line against the then-No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. After winning that matchup, though, the rematch was just days away as they traveled to the Chase Center on Friday night riding an 18-game winning streak.

This time, however, the result was much different. Without Devin Booker on the floor and even with Stephen Curry having a relatively modest night by his standards, the Warriors left the Suns in the dust with a monster 118-96 victory, buoyed by a terrific bench performance and overall team showing.

With the win, Golden State reclaimed the No. 1 seed in the West, ended Phoenix’s winning streak, and showed how dangerous they truly are. But all NBA Twitter could think about was how they wanted more of these two teams going at it with one another.

Perhaps the best news for NBA Twitter and fans around the world is we won’t have to wait long to get another rematch between these two great teams.

It might be a little longer than the less-than-a-week wait time for the first rematch but the Warriors and Suns are set to do battle on Christmas Day. Even better, we might see both of these teams truly at full strength in that matchup.

Not only should Booker be back for Phoenix but it’s looking more like Klay Thompson could be back for Golden State in that matchup. Go ahead and get your popcorn ready because that is definitely a holiday treat for fans from the league.
