5. Tevin Coleman, New York Jets

The New York Jets had a choice to make last week against the Houston Texans. They could either give the bulk of their carries to Ty Johnson or to veteran Tevin Coleman. Michael Carter had looked very good for most of the season, but he was out for this matchup. The Jets actually have a chance to win here, so they wanted the player that gave them a chance to win.

The Jets chose Coleman, and they played him on 45% of their snaps. Johnson only got 34% of the Jets’ snaps. Coleman had 67 yards on 16 carries and added two receptions on three targets. While Coleman wasn’t able to get in the endzone, he was on the field for a Jets win. The coaching staff is going to try and repeat as much of that as they can against the Philadelphia Eagles.

4. Devonta Freeman, Baltimore Ravens

The disaster that was last week can’t possibly happen again. Lamar Jackson threw four interceptions for the Baltimore Ravens, and Freeman wasn’t able to build on what was a good day for him. He had 52 yards on 16 carries. It’s not incredibly efficient, but it was better than he did the two weeks prior. However, he was never really able to get many red zone carries because the Ravens kept turning the ball over.

This week, they are taking on arch-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have allowed 1,214 rushing yards this season to running backs, fifth-worst in the league. Freeman and Jackson are going to have a huge game here.
