1. Top fantasy football pickups for Week 14 – Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown

The best news in the day for Lions fans is that their team won’t go winless for the second time after Detroit walked off with a 29-27 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The real star of the day was wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who had his best career performance in the victory.

St. Brown was the top target for Jared Goff, who looked his way 12 times on the afternoon. 10 of those targets were turned into catches by St. Brown, who racked up 86 receiving yards and hit paydirt against the Vikings.

There is little competition for passes in Detroit outside of T.J. Hockenson, making a performance like this from St. Brown noteworthy as we head down the stretch. The Lions will find themselves trailing plenty the rest of the way, leading to plenty of potential passes for St. Brown to catch as a volume-based WR3 or flex play if you need help at the receiver position.

St. Brown entered Week 13 rostered in just six percent of Yahoo leagues, a figure that should rise dramatically as savvy owners chase that target volume. Putting a claim in on St. Brown should yield significant dividends for owners in need of a win in Week 14.
