28. Terrell Owens wins Wild Card game vs Green Bay

This is one of the best Wild Card games in NFL history. While Terrell Owens was the hero in the end, he was almost the ultimate scapegoat. Owens had multiple huge drops in the game, and also lost a fumble.

The 49ers and Packers went punch for punch all afternoon. Green Bay led 17-10 at halftime, but the 49ers struck first in the third quarter. Steve Young found Greg Clark for a touchdown, which tied the game at 17. The two teams traded field goals until Brett Favre found Antonio Freeman for a touchdown to give Green Bay a 27-23 lead.

On the final play of the game for the 49ers, Young stumbled on the snap before regaining his composure. He looked for Owens who was in stride at the goal line. Owens caught the ball between multiple Packers and took the hit as he held onto the ball going to the ground for the touchdown.

The 49ers won the game, and Owens redeemed himself in the biggest way possible. He finished with just three catches in the game, but one was the game-winning touchdown that sent San Francisco to the Divisional round.
