2. Re-sign one of these outfielders: Joc Pederson, Eddie Rosario or Jorge Soler

Once the dust settles after Freeman puts pen to paper, a logical next step for the Braves front office would be to re-sign a key piece, or two, from one of the many outfielders they acquired at the deadline to completely reshape the 2021 team’s season. With Adam Duvall arbitration eligible this offseason, Atlanta must get new deals for either Joc Pederson, Eddie Rosario or Jorge Soler.

Pederson has the worst odds of being back in Atlanta on a new deal, but let’s not rule that out entirely. He was instrumental in getting the locker room back to good. Pederson not only accepted his role coming off the bench as a fourth outfielder down the stretch, but he became a cultural icon as that bad bitch sporting a pair of pearls. Of course, he is likely signing with another team.

As far as Rosario and Soler are concerned, one or both could potentially return to the Braves. Rosario is the likeliest of the two, as he is the better defensive player in the outfield. He brings tremendous power from the left side of the plate, as well as clutch hitting best demonstrated by his performance in the NLCS. As for Soler, a universal DH increases the odds he may come back.

While Soler could return without a universal DH, Rosario edges him out as more likely to return.
