NCAA transfer portal predictions for Quinn Ewers, Spencer Rattler, Zach Evans and more

This one is so beyond obvious, but here we go. Out of high school, three-star quarterback Jake Haener committed to Washington to play for Chris Petersen as a part of the class of 2017. While Lake Stevens native Jacob Eason transferring back to the program complicated things, Haener still probably enjoyed his time in Seattle even before transferring to Fresno State. He will return now.
This is because former Fresno State head coach Kalen DeBoer has taken over a Huskies program his predecessor Jimmy Lake drove into the ground. Washington might be a blue-blood out on the West Coast, but DeBoer is not going to fix this overnight. With Haener being a serious NFL Draft prospect for 2023, look for him to follow DeBoer from Fresno to Seattle and return to the Huskies.
Prediction: Washington
With Bronco Mendenhall abruptly resigning from his post, this has sent shockwaves throughout Charlottesville and the rest of the ACC landscape. Offensive lineman Victor Oluwatimi may have been underrecruited coming out of high school, but he did play at national power DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, Maryland. Could Oluwatimi resurface elsewhere in the DMV this offseason?
While Maryland did not offer him (Virginia didn’t either), Oluwatimi has been on the Terps’ radar for some time. Given how stout of a recruiter head coach Mike Locksley is, it would make a great deal of sense for Oluwatimi to finish out his college career playing for an on-the-rise Maryland team. Playing in the Big Ten and keeping Taulia Tagovailoa upright sounds like a pretty good time, too.
Prediction: Maryland
