Baltimore Ravens: 2019 Divisional Round vs Tennessee Titans

This one could be a victim of recency bias, but wow the Ravens really blew this one. Baltimore was the talk of the NFL in 2019. They won 12 consecutive games to end the season, their 14-2 record was the best in franchise history, and Lamar Jackson was on his way to winning MVP.

This felt like Baltimore was going to make a run at hosting the AFC Championship Game, and perhaps win the Super Bowl. Instead, they were a one and done in the playoffs and got absolutely thwarted by the Titans in the Divisional round.

The Titans seemed to set the blueprint on how to beat Baltimore- sell out on first and second down, and make the Ravens throw outside the numbers on third and long. As great a player Lamar Jackson is, his arm is his weakest feature. It has gotten better in the two seasons since, but he was exposed by the Titans in their playoff loss. The Titans won 28-12, and Jackson threw two interceptions and finished with a passer rating of 63.2.

The Ravens would get their revenge on Tennessee in the 2020 playoffs, but their loss in 2019 was a big letdown and a missed opportunity.
