6. John Bates, Washington Football Team

Rostered: 0.1%

In only his second game since returning from the IR, Logan Thomas suffered a season-ending knee injury. Thomas has been a dynamic fantasy tight end in the past, but his 2021 season has been hampered by injuries.

Ricky Seals-Jones is the next tight end on Washington’s depth chart, and he should see a boost in fantasy value over the next few weeks. However, Seals-Jones is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys with a hip injury. He was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice.

If Seals-Jones cannot play Sunday, John Bates will become Washington’s go-to tight end. Last week, Bates saw a boost in production, as he had three receptions for 42 yards.

With an expanded role, the rookie is an intriguing option.

5. Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks

Rostered: 9.0%

Everett had a disappointing performance last week. He had four receptions for seven yards, and he lost two fumbles.

The good news is that Everett was targeted six times. Since Russell Wilson returned from the IR, Everett has been targeted 27 times in four games.

He has plenty of upside this Sunday against the Texans. The Texans defense is giving up 26.9 points per game this season, which is the third-most in the NFL.
