9. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and 8. Darrel Williams – Kansas City Chiefs

We’ve been burned by the Kansas City Chiefs’ running backs, but as Michael Scott says, we are ready to get hurt again. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams both had pretty decent outputs despite the Denver Broncos really taking the Chiefs’ offense out of the game. Darrel Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire were the Chiefs leading receivers last week. Will that happen this week? Probably not, but the matchup makes it very intriguing to play both running backs.

The Las Vegas Raiders allow the third-most fantasy points to running backs this season. They’ve allowed nine touchdowns rushing and five touchdowns receiving to the position. That accounts to 27 points per game given up. That leaves plenty for Edwards-Helaire and Williams to split. The Chiefs’ offense feels broken at times, but right now the running game isn’t the problem.

7. Jeff Wilson – San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers look more and more likely that they will be without starting running back Elijah Mitchell this week. He hasn’t practiced yet this week, and it’s getting pretty late to even call him a game-time decision. That leaves the 49ers to rely on yet another backup. The 49ers have been dealing with backup plans all season. Raheem Mostert was injured early. Trey Sermon did not live up to expectations. Now, Mitchell is hurt for an important game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 49ers loss to the Seattle Seahawks dropped them to 6-6 and just a half of a game up on the Eagles for the final spot in the NFC playoff picture. They need a big week and leave it to Jeff Wilson to come here and make a splash. Wilson doesn’t exactly have a great track record, but he’s getting the start against the Bengals this week. The Bengals allow 25 points per game to the running back position in fantasy, so that’s a lot of points up for grabs for Wilson.
