2. David Montgomery – Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears offense is not something that many defenses are scared of, but they are getting Justin Fields back under center. That brings a whole new dynamic to the game against the Green Bay Packers. The Bears are going to try and be exciting and surprising in this game, at least that’s what they should do. Who knows what Matt Nagy is going to do in a weekly basis.

Montgomery has been good on a weekly basis since returning from injury. That’s despite teams basically begging Andy Dalton to make a pass. He really made his mark last week with a 20-point fantasy performance in standard fantasy leagues. He had 141 total yards, eight catches, and a touchdown against the Cardinals. Now, he’s in a marquee matchup against a team with a quarterback they absolutely hate. They want to take out the Packers, and to do that they need the best possible David Montgomery they can get.

1. Mark Ingram – New Orleans Saints

We went through this a little bit in our bold predictions column, but Mark Ingram is set for a monster performance this week, and there really isn’t anyone who is going to stop him. Obviously, Alvin Kamara might be the best bet at the running back position this week, but the Saints won’t need him very much against the New York Jets. In fact, they will likely limit his output as he comes back from injury.

Ingram is going to get the yeoman’s load of carries this week. Against an overwhelmed New York Jets defense and behind this offensive line, Ingram is going to have a monster week. It doesn’t matter if Kamara returns or not. Ingram is going to destroy this defense this week. It’s really that simple. Every Ingram owner should be starting him this week, especially if your fantasy season relies on it.
