2022 NFL Mock Draft: Top edge rushers kick off first round, go 1-2

Picks No. 11 through 14

Wide Receiver. Philadelphia Eagles. Garrett Wilson. 11. player. 54.

Like their division rival New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles hold back-to-back first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft in our latest mock. Of course, the Eagles actually have three first-round picks in 2022, but since the third one belongs to the Indianapolis Colts, that selection is going to be a bit later next April.

Here, the Eagles decide to go out and get a weapon for starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, a player who has looked so good at times, and then lost at others. The weapon is Garrett Wilson, a player who brings it every time he is on the field, and one that could end up in the top-10 before all is said and done.

. Offensive Lineman. Minnesota Vikings. Tyler Linderbaum. 12. player. 60

The Minnesota Vikings got the Week 14 party started on Thursday night, as they played host to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Vikings were able to get the job done, staving off a huge comeback by the Steelers, and have moved their record close to the .500 mark at 6-7.

Still, this is a team that you figure big change is coming in the offseason, and that includes head coach Mike Zimmer. At pick No. 12 overall, the front office decides to bolster an offensive line that has looked terrible at times this season, bringing in a versatile big man in Tyler Linderbaum from Iowa.

15. . Wide Receiver. New Orleans Saints. Chris Olave. 13. player

The New Orleans Saints went into their Week 14 matchup with the New York Jets on a major slide, as they had lost five straight games. Since Jameis Winston went down with a season-ending injury, this offense just has not been the same, though they were able to put up a 30-spot against the Jets.

Going forward, the Saints need help on the offensive side of the ball, and that includes bringing in some elite weapons next offseason. In Chris Olave, they get an excellent complement to Michael Thomas in the passing game, giving Winston, or whoever is the starter next season more options down the field.

Kenyon Green. 14. player. 28. . Offensive Lineman. Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have been an absolute joke since the bye week, as they have lost all but one game, which was a stunning victory against Dallas on Thanksgiving Day. Last year, the Raiders faltered down the stretch, and it looks like that is going to be the case once again, as they have squandered a 5-2 start.

With their first-round pick in 2022, they do exactly what they did in 2021, and that is draft an offensive lineman to hopefully help fix one of the bigger areas of concern heading into next season. Kenyon Green is the pick here for the Silver and Black, and his arrival hopefully improves an offensive line that allowed pressure on nearly 40 percent of Derek Carr’s dropbacks in Week 14.
