FanDuel NFL 2021: Best lineup for Week 15
Flex and Team Defense
Flex: Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets-$7,100
In the two games before Miamis Week 14 bye, Waddle had 18 catches (nine in each) for 227 yards on 22 targets (11 in each). He has double-digit targets in three of his last five games, with nine in one of the others.
The Dolphins got DeVante Parker back before the bye, but Will Fuller (finger) is expected to remain out in Week 15. So Waddle is lined up to remain Tua Tagovailoa’s top target against the Jets. It doesn’t look like a good matchup based on fantasy points allowed, but the Jets’ defense is simply not good. In Week 11, Waddle tallied eight catches for 65 yards (on nine targets) with a rushing touchdown against them.
Team Defense: Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets-$5,000
Going into their Week 14 bye, the Dolphins allowed 17 or fewer points with multiple sacks in five straight games. They allowed 10 or fewer points allowed four times in that span, with least nine fantasy points (Yahoo!/FanDuel scoring) four times and with multiple takeaways three times in that span as well.
In Week 15 Miami gets the New York Jets, who are ceding the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing defenses (8.8 per game, Yahoo! scoring). Their wide receiver corps is riddled by injuries (Corey Davis, Elijah Moore), and their running back rotation isn’t much better–though Michael Carter is in line to return this week.
The Dolphins are the most expensive defense on FanDuel’s main slate this week. But they’re well worth the investment.
