Bold Prediction #2: Tyler Huntley/Lamar Jackson must play

Are you really going to put your entire season in the hands of Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley? It’s probably the biggest risk one could take, and maybe this is a better option for daily fantasy players, but it’s something people should consider in two-quarterback leagues and for owners who are staring down a first-round matchup without Lamar Jackson.

Huntley has played significant time three times this season, and he’s gotten better every time. He ended the Browns game on Sunday with 15.3 fantasy points. He had 45 yards on the ground as he desperately tried to get the Ravens back in the game, but his two fumbles were pretty devastating.

Jackson might actually play this week after what looked like a pretty severe ankle sprain, but John Harbaugh sounded confident early in the week. That might just be a head coach hiding his cards, but we doubt he’d actually risk his quarterback in a non-conference matchup against the Packers.

The Pack have an injured secondary, but that’s not why this is a good matchup. The Green Bay Packers have allowed the most yards to quarterbacks this season. Huntley is up for a ton of yards on the ground, and because of that, Harbaugh knows he has to go with the healthiest option. It would be a disservice to play Jackson at 50% or less when he has a runner right behind him. If he does go with Jackson, he should be able to take advantage of this defense.
