10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 15
By Nick Villano
4. Clyde Edwards-Helaire – Kansas City Chiefs
We talked about the viability of both Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams in our bold predictions piece earlier in the week. Edwards-Helaire is looking at a good matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers on the schedule this week. The Chargers are not good against the run, just like the Raiders last weekend were not good against the run.
Edwards-Helaire is coming off a matchup where he had two rushing touchdowns and caught three passes. It was a big fantasy number even if it wasn’t a big traditional rushing day (he only had 37 yards on the ground). Andy Reid seems committed to giving him the ball early and often, and that is going to lead to fantasy points against a porous run defense in the Chargers.
3. Javonte Williams – Denver Broncos
Javonte Williams has slowly but surely taken the number-one running back spot from Melvin Gordon this season. He’s been good as of late. Since the Broncos bye week just three weeks ago, Williams hasn’t had less than 17 points even in standards leagues. In PPR leagues, he hasn’t had less than 20. He’s been killing it lately.
Yet, he’s still not considered a top 15 running back in most rankings. ESPN didn’t even have him in the top 20. He’s facing the Cincinnati Bengals. They aren’t exactly Fort Knox up front. They allow 24 points to running backs each game. This should be another big week for Williams, especially as the Broncos are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive.
