8. A.J. Green, Arizona Cardinals

With the news of DeAndre Hopkins’ season-ending injury comes major fantasy implications. With an explosive offense like the Cardinals, there is a lot of upside waiting to be claimed due to Hopkins’ absence. Last week, A.J. Green had one of his best games as a Cardinal, catching 7-of-10 targets for 102 yards.

This week, he should see a sizeable uptick in usage while going up against the Detroit Lions’ 17th-ranked secondary. Green should have no problem finding ways to get open, leading to a solid fantasy outing; though I do have his fellow receiving threat Christian Kirk ranked a bit higher.

7. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

The emergence of Amon-Ra St. Brown was actually timed with the Lions’ signing of Josh Reynolds. Now that there is another actual receiving threat in Detroit, St. Brown can actually see more favorable matchups, leading to better games. He’s coming off back to back games with 12 targets.

St. Brown and the Lions take on the Cardinals, where they will likely be playing from behind. Arizona does allow the 14th-most fantasy points to wide receivers, so he has decent upside as a mid-range flex this week.
