4. Top fantasy football pickups for Week 16 – Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown

Don’t look now but the Detroit Lions may be the key to saving your fantasy season. Detroit has picked up wins in two of its past three games, including a shocking 30-12 beatdown of the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 15.

One of the top performers for the Lions was wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who put up a strong afternoon by catching eight passes for 90 yards with a touchdown. Jared Goff targeted St. Brown 11 times on the day, marking three straight games that the rookie has received double-digit targets.

That volume is fantastic for fantasy owners who are looking for help at wide receiver. St. Brown’s workload shouldn’t be in much jeopardy either since T.J. Hockenson is done for the season after undergoing thumb surgery, making St. Brown the unquestioned top target in the Detroit passing game.

Fantasy owners have been slow to buy in on St. Brown, who entered Week 15 rostered in just 29 percent of Yahoo leagues. St. Brown has good matchups with Atlanta and Seattle in the next two weeks, making him worthy of a start as a WR2 in PPR leagues.
