Jared Verse could take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity in the portal

Jared Verse is one of two small-school players to appear on this list. The pass-rusher from Albany was massively underrecruited coming out of high school. Now, he is getting looks from many of the big-boy programs that are looking to get back on top after a downward spiral. He has been recruited by teams like Florida State and USC. At this point, why not go play for the USC Trojans?

Prediction: USC

Cameron Ward may have to leave Texas to become a college football star

Cameron Ward is the other small-school player to appear on this list. The Texas native committed to play for Incarnate Ward. With four years of eligibility remaining, teams who may not have given him much of a chance the first time around could be all over this dual-threat playmaker. One team with a ton of interest in him is the Ole Miss Rebels. Lane Kiffin does need to replace Matt Corral.

Prediction: Ole Miss

Zach Evans’ trip into the transfer portal will not be like his initial recruitment

As tumultuous as Zach Evans‘ recruitment was coming out of high school, the former five-star running back from Houston eventually ended up playing in-state for Gary Patterson at TCU. With Patterson done in Fort Worth and Sonny Dykes taking over, look for Evans to resurface not all that far away. Expect for him to be targeted by SEC teams, especially by Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M.

Prediction: Texas A&M

Jahmyr Gibbs will finally get to have his way with Georgia once and for all

After getting pushed around by the Dawgs at Georgia Tech, Jahmyr Gibbs leaves Geoff Collins’ program as one of the biggest names to hit the transfer portal this offseason. While no self-respecting Jacket would ever think about going to Athens, Gibbs can get a one-up on Georgia by committing to their perpetual nemesis. Alabama will need a player or two at running back…

Prediction: Alabama
