Grayson Allen is one of the most hated Duke Blue Devils of all time, partly because of his controversial plays, partly because of his outstanding play on the court. However, amongst Duke fans, Grayson Allen is one of the most beloved players in recent memory because of all the things he did during his time in Durham.

Allen didn’t play much during his freshman season, that is until the National Championship game when he had the third-most points he’d had all season. He went for 16 points, two rebounds, and a steal and gave Duke a huge amount of momentum that allowed them to hang their fifth National Championship banner in Cameron Indoor.

Allen stayed at Duke for four seasons, despite many thinking he would leave after his sophomore or junior seasons. Luckily, for Duke, he stayed, and because of it, the Blue Devils won an ACC Tournament title, made it to the Sweet Sixteen, and also the Elite Eight. Over his final three years with Duke, Allen held a combined average of 17.2 points per game, 3.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He was also named to the All-ACC first-team, the All-ACC third-team, the NCAA All-Tournament team, and was also named to the All-ACC Tournament team twice.

Since graduating from Duke in 2018, Allen was drafted 21st overall by the Utah Jazz in 2018 and has since put together a solid career, averaging 9.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He is currently having the best season of his young career with the Milwaukee Bucks.
