44. Dave Henderson (1982-1986)

Dave Henderson played four seasons at Duke, and he had an incredible career as he averaged 12.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, with his best season coming in his senior year when he averaged 14.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while leading Duke to the Final Four, as well as ACC Regular Season and Tournament Titles.

While leading Duke to the ACC Tournament Title, Henderson was also named to the ACC All-Tournament Team. His accomplishments cannot go underestimated. When Henderson got to Duke, Coach K had not yet gotten to the Final Four, nor had he won an ACC Regular Season or Tournament Title yet.

Henderson’s role in helping lead the Blue Devils to ACC Regular Season and Tournament titles, as well as the National Championship game, was huge, as it was the first step in Coach K’s long and legendary career in Durham.
