New York Giants: Eli Manning

Giants fans, it’s time to admit the truth to yourselves if you already haven’t- Eli was an average NFL quarterback.

Yes, he is very funny and enjoyable to watch on TV with Peyton on the Manning Cast, and he is one of the funniest athletes of all time, so this criticism of him isn’t fun, but it is necessary.

Of the big three quarterbacks in the 2004 draft class, Eli’s numbers are the worst. Both Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers have put up more yards, more touchdowns, and fewer interceptions than Manning. Big Ben and Rivers also have higher completion percentages, as well.

It’s important to note that Eli will absolutely walk into the Hall of Fame when the time comes. He has two Super Bowl rings, and he got them both by beating Tom Brady and the Patriots. That alone will get him into Canton. When you look at his numbers, though, they aren’t really Hall of Fame worthy. He threw a ton of interceptions, leading the league in picks three times. He threw 20 or more interceptions in all three of those seasons, including 25 in 2010 and 27 in 2013.

Eli is so easy to like, but he is also very overrated.
