Running Backs

James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets-$8,200

Robinson lost the shackle that was Urban Meyer going into Week 15, and he tied his season-highs for carries (18) and targets (six) with 75 yards on the ground and a touchdown (his first touchdown since Week 11). If it had been a closer game, not a 14-point loss to the Texans, 20 carries would’ve been a virtual lock.

A closer game seems lined up for Week 16 against the New York Jets. The Jets enter Week 16 allowing the most FanDuel points to running backs (31.5 per game), as well as the most rushing scores to the position (21) by a solid margin.

Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants-$6,400

In Week 15 against Washington, Sanders had 18 carries for a season-high 131 yards along with two catches for 15 yards. An ankle injury the game (where he had 120 yards on a season-high 24 carries) before the Week 14 bye seemed to be no issue. A workload split is not ideal, as Jordan Howard had 15 carries against Washington, as is quarterback Jalen Hurts’ rushing production. But the spot Sanders is in for Week 16 can’t be ignored.

The New York Giants are among the 10 most generous defenses to running backs this season. An injury-thinned and generally feeble offense has allowed opponents to run the ball plenty, and the Eagles have had a very productive running game over the last several weeks.

Sanders is the Eagles’ best running back. With 15-20 carries against the Giants, bankable production stands to follow.
