Miami Dolphins: Jim Jensen
To be fair, there are other players that could have gone in this slot. With the current Taysom Hill craze, though, why not talk about Jim Jensen?
Before there was Kordell Stewart or Hill, there was Jim Jensen of the Miami Dolphins. Jensen was a jack of all trades. You know the old saying- a jack of all trades is a master of none. Jensen certainly fit that mold. He played all over the Dolphins offense. He played running back, H-back, tight end, receiver, and he threw multiple passes in his career. It’s a shame that Mickey Loomis wasn’t around back then to give him an ungodly amount of money that he definitely didn’t deserve.
Jensen was a unicorn in the Dolphins offense. He had 19 total touchdowns through the air and on the ground throughout his 12 season career. He actually set in as a receiver in the later stage of his career. He had 58 catches in 1988 and followed up that season with 61 catches. Jensen carved out a career for himself by playing wherever he was needed. In a way, he created a path for the select few players that were like him.
