Bold Prediction #3: Cordarrelle Patterson breaks 20 points

The Atlanta Falcons have been just a dreadful watch over the past month. The defense hasn’t been too good, Matt Ryan looks like he’s 100 years old out there, and Kyle Pitts seems to be facing some serious rookie issues (although he was pretty good for fantasy this week). The only thing worth watching on the Falcons offense right now is running back/wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.

Then, the 49ers made sure he wasn’t even a factor this week. He had less than 20 yards on the ground and he only had five yards receiving. It was awful for fantasy owners who have been relying on Patterson to provide big performances despite being on a bad team. He’s been able to fight any matchup and has been scoring from everywhere.

This week, a bounce back is coming. So again, if you survived this past week, you have a juicy matchup in front of you for Week 16. The Falcons are facing the Detroit Lions this week. Ignore the performance they had against the Arizona Cardinals, things will go back to normal this week. The Lions allowed 27 points per game against running backs. They have only seen 62 targets to the running back position, which is the lowest in the league somehow. The Lions will see something they are not really used to, and Patterson will take full advantage.

Patterson is going to have a performance for the ages this week. The Lions are riding high, but expect the Falcons to have a performance they can actually be proud of this week.
