10 TE sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 16
By Jakob Ashlin
2. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears
Rostered: 26.4 percent
Last week, Cole Kmet posted six receptions for 71 yards on nine targets against the Minnesota Vikings. Kmet continues to be heavily utilized in Chicago’s offense; over the past four games, he is averaging eight targets per game.
For the season, Kmet is tenth among NFL tight ends in targets. Here are the nine players ahead of him: Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, Mike Gesicki, Kyle Pitts, T.J. Hockenson, Darren Waller, Dalton Schultz, George Kittle, and Zach Ertz; that is excellent company.
Kmet should be rostered in most leagues.
1. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
Rostered: 47.7 percent
After a short slump, Hunter Henry is officially back on the fantasy football radar. Henry had a strong performance last week against the Indianapolis Colts with six receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Since Week 4, Henry has been the Patriots’ go-to target in the red zone. Henry has been targeted a whopping 17 times in the red zone this season, which is tied for second among tight ends.
Henry will remain touchdown-dependent, but he has TE1 upside this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
