Baker Mayfield was horrible, but his last interception should not have counted

Mayfield threw four interceptions on Christmas in a game the Browns could’ve very well won had he not turned the ball over that many times. The Browns quarterback has yet to prove he can be a franchise signal-caller, and Cleveland could very well move on either this offseason or next.

But in the immediate future, the Browns have every right to be furious with the officiating crew in their Christmas Day game. Not only did the Packers receive the benefit of the doubt on several close play-clock penalties, but Green Bay’s final interception of the day to clinch the game shouldn’t have counted. If anything, the play should’ve been called a hold on Rasul Douglas.

That is not legal touching, and Douglas even got a hand full of Donovan Peoples-Jones’ jersey. Enough said, the Packers got away with one here in what was only a two-point game at the time.
