4. Tony Pollard will notch 7+ receptions

Pollard and the Cowboys’ running backs were sort of an afterthought for Dallas’ offense last week. Washington’s patchwork secondary failed to keep Cowboys receivers in front of them all night long. The end result was big play after big play for Prescott and his team’s aerial attack.

The Cardinals generally like to play aggressively in the secondary, but look for them to learn from Washington’s mistakes this week. Arizona is going to try to sit back in coverage and force Prescott to dink and dunk the ball down the field. That’s easier said than done, but it’s good news for Pollard’s workload this week.

The slashing running back will be more of a factor in the passing game than the run game. He’ll get 5-10 carries, but it’s his ability to produce yards after the catch in space that will make him so valuable against Arizona.

The final line for Pollard will be at least seven catches for 50+ yards. That figure might not look huge compared to what his team’s wideouts can produce, but his caches will keep the chains moving all afternoon for Dallas in Week 17.
