2022 NFL Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars add an elite edge rusher
Picks No. 31 and 32
The Kansas City Chiefs have assumed their mantle as the best team in the AFC, and they are certainly going to be a tough team to beat come playoff time. They won their sixth straight AFC West title this past weekend with the Los Angeles Chargers losing to Houston, and will now battle it out to try and secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Looking ahead, they would be wise to get a bit younger in the secondary, and Penn State’s Jaquan Brisker is a good-looking safety prospect. Brisker is a ball-hawk and would be in a perfect situation in KC, learning behind a legend in Tyrann Mathieu.
We round out the first round with the Green Bay Packers, who many like to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this season. Green Bay is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, and while Aaron Rodgers would like a wide receiver here, they get him some needed protection instead.
Trevor Penning plays for Northern Iowa, so he is not going to be on your TV during the bowl season, but he should be in the Senior Bowl when all is said and done. He is a bruising offensive tackle, and I believe he has the size, and strength to be a Day 1 starter on either side of the line.
