2022 NFL Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars add an elite edge rusher

Picks No. 4 through 6

30. . Offensive Tackle. New York Jets. Evan Neal. 4. player

With the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the New York Jets selected BYU signal-caller Zach Wilson, and he has had an up-and-down rookie season, to say the least. Wilson has struggled to stay healthy and struggled to play consistent football, but that is to be expected in Year 1.

To help Wilson along, the Jets need to continue to bolster the offensive line, and they do so by adding Evan Neal here at pick No. 4 overall. Teaming Neal with Mekhi Becton gives the Jets a dominant, young bookend at the offensive tackle positions, helping Wilson to reach his full potential down the line.

. Edge. New York Giants. George Karlaftis. 5. player. 31

The New York Giants are a team that has a lot of questions heading into next season, and that includes whether or not they will retain general manager David Gettleman. There have already been reports that head coach Joe Judge and quarterback Daniel Jones will return, but how long with that duo stick around.

Here, with their first of two top-10 picks, the Giants look to the defensive side of the ball, adding an elite edge rusher in George Karlaftis. The Purdue product has an incredible motor, much like Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby, and would inject some much-need life into this Giants defensive line.

Cornerback. New York Jets. Derek Stingley Jr.. 6. player. 30.

After adding a quality offensive lineman with the No. 4 overall pick, the New York Jets will be back at it at pick No. 6 next April. Holding two top-6 picks should go a long way in revamping this roster, and possibly putting a winning product on the field next season.

After going offense with pick No. 4, the Jets go defense here at No. 6, adding the best cornerback this draft class has to offer. Derek Stingley Jr. has looked like a first-round talent his entire LSU career, and in New York, he would bring incredible star power to this secondary.
