2022 NFL Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars add an elite edge rusher

Picks No. 15 through 18

55. . Quarterback. Pittsburgh Steelers. Malik Willis. 15. player

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a tough spot heading down the stretch, as they are currently on the outside looking in at the playoffs, and may not be able to recover. Going into next season, the Steelers are going to have to figure out what they want to do at quarterback in the long term, as Ben Roethlisberger could be done after this year.

In his place, the Steelers may decide to select a quarterback in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, adding Liberty’s Malik Willis. Many feel that Willis has the highest ceiling of any of the quarterbacks coming out this season, but the small-school bias could hurt him when it comes to draft day.

player. 13. . Defensive Lineman. Los Angeles Chargers. Travon Walker. 16

The Los Angeles Chargers looked like they would steamroll to the playoffs this season, but have fallen on some hard times since. First, they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, which is not a big shocker, but then, in Week 16, they fell to the Houston Texans, one of the worst teams in all of football.

Another year outside of the playoffs would be devastating after their strong start, and if they are picking in the middle of the first round, they should look to add a pass rusher. Joey Bosa is one of the best in the game, and adding Travon Walker from Georgia to complement him could be a home run selection for the Chargers.

player. 28. . Wide Receiver. Las Vegas Raiders. Jameson Williams. 17

It has been a roller coaster of a year for the Las Vegas Raiders, who started strong, going 5-2 into the bye week, but have fallen off since. Losing five of six moved them below .500, and although they have won the last two games, they have done so against backup quarterbacks and teams ravaged by COVID.

In this mock draft, the Raiders will be picking at No. 17 overall, and with it, they bring in another Alabama wide receiver to fill the shoes of Henry Ruggs III. Jameson Williams is a do-everything wideout who could be just what this depth chart is missing, and another big weapon for Derek Carr.

Baltimore Ravens. Andrew Booth Jr.. 18. player. 26. . Cornerback

Without both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley in Week 16, the Baltimore Ravens struggled, and the Cincinnati Bengals took advantage of their division rival’s bad fortune. Joe Burrow shredded this Ravens defense, nearly setting an NFL record, and showing how badly the Ravens need help in the secondary.

With pick No. 18 overall, Baltimore decides to go with a cornerback in our mock draft, selecting Andrew Booth Jr. from Clemson. This is a kid who some have ticketed for the top-10 picks, so to get him at No. 18 would be a steal and a significant upgrade in their secondary.
