2022 NFL Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars add an elite edge rusher

Picks No. 23 though 25

Philadelphia Eagles. Devin Lloyd. 23. player. 54. . Linebacker

The Philadelphia Eagles hold three first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, and they have already added a cornerback and wide receiver when they get to their final selection. Cornerback was definitely a necessity on this defense, but so is linebacker, and they get a good one here at pick No. 23.

With this selection, the Eagles add Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd, one of only two first-round linebackers in this draft class. Lloyd is a playmaking linebacker who is good around the ball and loves to come up and make the big hit, which should make him a fan favorite in Philly.

. Cornerback. Arizona Cardinals. Roger McCreary. 24. player. 32

For a while, it looked like the Arizona Cardinals would be the darlings of the NFC, as they were running through teams, even with key players out. However, they have struggled the last few weeks, losing to both the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts, and are currently in the thick of things now that they have secured a playoff spot.

With pick No. 24 in the first round, the Cardinals need to focus on their defensive backfield, and Roger McCreary is the kind of big-play cornerback this team needs. McCreary is the kind of player who steps up in the biggest of spots, and if the Cardinals are going to be perennial playoff contenders, they need this kind of athlete.

16. . Offensive Lineman. Buffalo Bills. Tyler Linderbaum. 25. player

The Buffalo Bills faced a tough task this past weekend, as they battled it out against the New England Patriots for supremacy in the AFC East. While the Pats were one of the hottest teams in the NFL, the Bills showed that they are the best in the division, and currently hold the No. 4 spot in the AFC Playoffs.

For the Bills, they have to continue to stack talent up front for quarterback Josh Allen, who continues to prove to be one of the best young signal-callers in football. One prospect who would be perfect for this offensive line is Tyler Linderbaum, considered one of the best all-around offensive linemen in this draft class.
