2022 NFL Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars add an elite edge rusher

Picks No. 26 through 28

player. 56. . Offensive Tackle. Cincinnati Bengals. Charles Cross. 26

The Cincinnati Bengals swept the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend, and look like a team to beat in the AFC moving forward. They hit a home run with quarterback Joe Burrow, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and his former teammate, Ja’Marr Chase has been outstanding as well.

Looking at the 2022 NFL Draft, the offensive line has to be a priority, and Charles Cross from Mississippi State is someone I could see starting immediately at the next level. Cross is a big-bodied offensive tackle that could play on the right, or left side, protecting the team’s No. 1 asset in Burrow.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kaiir Elam. 27. player. 48. . Cornerback

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinched the NFC South title this past weekend, the first such title for quarterback Tom Brady. Sure, he has won several divisional titles in the AFC, but now that the team has locked up the NFC South, all eyes should be on the No. 1 overall seed in the conference.

For Tampa Bay, help in the secondary is needed in next year’s draft, and they accomplish that right away with Kaiir Elam from the University of Florida. This is one of the better cover cornerbacks in this draft class, and the Bucs certainly could use more help on the outside.

player. 50. . Wide Receiver. Detroit Lions. Drake London. 28

The Detroit Lions will pick twice in the 2022 NFL Draft’s first round, first at No. 2 overall, and then very later on. That is because they hold the Los Angeles Rams 2022 first-round pick thanks to the Matthew Stafford trade, a trade that has certainly worked out for the Rams, and possibly even the Lions.

With this pick, I like the Lions to go out and get Jared Goff some help on the outside, and one look at Drake London’s tape, and you can see why he lands in the first round. London is big, fast, and strong, and at the next level, he is going to dominate smaller cornerbacks on a week-to-week basis.
