Broncos acquire Aaron Rodgers and his favorite target

This trade would only happen if Rodgers were traded to Denver and Adams wished to continue his partnership with the MVP quarterback. This would also most likely involve a tag-and-trade scenario. Adams is set to become a free agent this offseason and he may be too expensive for Green Bay to retain him.

If the Packers told Rodgers they could not keep Adams, Rodgers may seek a trade out of Green Bay. By doing this, the Packers would eliminate the possibility of losing Davante Adams for free. Green Bay would receive a comp pick, but it could get much more in return out of a trade.

Green Bay would also be getting a talented wide receiver in Jerry Jeudy. The 22-year-old receiver has yet to make a monumental impact on the field over his first two seasons but has shown glimpses of being a top weapon in an offense. The Broncos offense has been negatively affected by the quarterback play over the last two seasons.

Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater have been average at best, and neither have shown they can support their receivers. This season, the leading receiver for the Broncos is Courtland Sutton with 703 yards through 15 games. Bridgewater is reluctant to throw the ball down the field, limiting his receivers’ production and upside.

Multiple draft picks and a route-running specialist like Jeudy is a pretty good return for Rodgers and Adams. Undoubtedly, the Packers would be taking a hit, but the team will be able to build around Jordan Love with more than enough pieces.
