10 TE sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 17
By Jakob Ashlin
2. Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks
Rostered: 18.5%
Gerald Everett just keeps producing. He had four receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown last Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Everett has built a strong rapport with quarterback Russell Wilson, and Everett has become a valuable fantasy contributor late in the season.
Since Week 10, Everett is seventh among tight ends in fantasy points. He should be locked in as a TE1 in most leagues.
1. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears
Rostered: 38.5%
Cole Kmet continues to be a target machine in the Bears’ offense. Kmet is tenth among NFL tight ends in targets this season; the two players directly ahead of him, Darren Waller and T.J. Hockenson, have only been targeted one more time than Kmet this season.
Due to his target share, Kmet is almost guaranteed to get a few receptions and a decent amount of receiving yards. As a result, he will have a high floor every week.
That should continue this week as the Bears take on the New York Giants.
If you need to pick up a tight end this week, Kmet is the safest option.
