3 replacements for Pete Carroll Seahawks should schedule interviews with

Pete Carroll could be done coaching the Seattle Seahawks after this disastrous 2021 season.
It has been a fantastic run for Pete Carroll in the Pacific Northwest, but it might be time for the Seattle Seahawks to go in a different direction.
Even though franchise quarterback Russell Wilson missed plenty of time mid-season with a mallet finger, this team revealed itself as one in dire need of a rebuild. Poor draft picks and questionable front-office moves had led to Seattle being a 5-10 football team heading into Week 17. It would serve the franchise to completely reboot this thing after a truly awful 2021 campaign.
If Carroll and the Seahawks do agree to part ways at the end of the season, here is who could potentially replace the greatest head coach in Seattle football history.
Seattle Seahawks: 3 replacements for Pete Carroll as head coach in 2022
Nathaniel Hackett could potentially leave Green Bay if the right job opens up
Expect for 2022 to be the first offseason cycle where Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett starts to get serious consideration for NFL head-coaching opportunities. For as long as Aaron Rodgers remains the quarterback in Green Bay, it would serve Hackett to align himself with the future first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback. But what about Seattle?
Hackett is the son of Carroll’s predecessor at USC, so that presents a very interesting wrinkle in all of this. The noted Doug Marrone disciple has done a great job of aligning the run with the pass throughout his coaching career. At 42-years-old, it is only a matter of time before Hackett becomes an NFL head coach in his own right. He should be a dark horse contender for Seattle.
Ultimately, Hackett is probably still a year away from getting his own team. However, he is a prime candidate to replace Urban Meyer as the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach. This was his previous stop before taking over the reins of the Packers offense in 2019. Jacksonville has not been the same since he left. He will be a finalist for that job, but Seattle should at least interview Hackett.
An offensive-minded head coach would do the Seahawks a world of good during their rebuild.
